Light commercial air conditioners pair one outdoor unit with one indoor unit, with larger capacity than residential splits — usually from 18,000 BTU (1.5 ton) to 120,000 BTU (10 ton). They are the workhorses of restaurants, retail stores, small supermarkets, prayer halls, clinics and open-plan offices.
