Shangfeng HVAC supplies EUROVENT-certified, CE-marked hydronic HVAC — fan coil units, AHUs and chillers — to European wholesalers, plus the full product range to non-EU Balkan markets.
From our SGS-audited factory in Zhengzhou, we manufacture commercial HVAC under ISO9001, with OEM/ODM programs covering chillers, fan coil units, AHUs and light commercial equipment. For European buyers, two things matter most right now: choosing product lines that keep regulatory friction low, and getting equipment delivered on time. This page covers both.
Two Tracks for One Continent
Europe is not one market. The right product mix depends on which side of the EU border your warehouse sits.
Track A — EU member states: hydronic first
For EU importers, the friction-free line is water-side equipment. Fan coil units and air handling units contain no refrigerant of their own, so the F-Gas placing-on-market bans do not apply to them — they clear customs like any other CE-marked product. Chillers are available too: as refrigerant-bearing equipment, the compliant path depends on model, capacity and refrigerant, and we confirm it for your specific product and market at quotation.
- FP fan coil units, FP-34 to FP-238 — concealed, cassette and exposed types
- Air handling units, project-built to your specification
- Air-cooled modular scroll chillers in 30 / 65 / 130 kW modules
- Water-cooled screw chillers, 70–470 RT with R134a falling film technology
Track B — non-EU Balkans: the full range
Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and North Macedonia sit outside the EU, so the EU F-Gas Regulation does not apply there. Buyers in these markets order across our full catalogue — GCHV VRF with 25.2–90 kW DC inverter modules, ducted splits from 18K to 60K BTU, floor-standing units from 53K to 120K BTU and KFRH rooftop units of 35–53 kW — with demand driven by record summer heat across the region.
EU F-Gas: Honest Guidance
Regulation (EU) 2024/573 is phasing down high-GWP refrigerants on a schedule that differs by equipment type, size and refrigerant — which is why we do not publish a blanket “fully compliant” claim, and why you should be cautious with any supplier who does. What we can say plainly: fan coil units and AHUs contain no refrigerant of their own and are not subject to the F-Gas placing-on-market bans. For refrigerant-bearing equipment such as VRF, chillers and splits, the compliant path depends on the exact model, capacity and refrigerant. So we confirm the current compliance path for your specific product and destination market at quotation, before you commit to an order — a standard part of how we quote EU business, not an extra service. For wider market context, read our European HVAC importer guide.
EUROVENT & CE
European consultants and mechanical contractors routinely specify EUROVENT-certified fan coil units and chillers because the certification means performance data has been independently verified — not simply taken from the manufacturer’s brochure. That makes tender submissions easier to defend and leaves fewer arguments at commissioning. Our fan coil units and chillers carry EUROVENT certification, our equipment is CE-marked for the European market, and the factory operates under ISO9001 with SGS audits. We share certificate copies before you order so your compliance team can verify them directly — see our certificates page for the full list.
Rail Freight Advantage from Zhengzhou
Zhengzhou is a major hub of the China–Europe Railway Express. Rail freight from here typically reaches European terminals in 15–22 days, subject to schedules — meaningfully faster than the typical 4–6 weeks by sea from China to the EU. For time-sensitive replenishment — a wholesaler running low on fan coils mid-season — rail can be the difference between catching the season and missing it. Sea freight remains the economical choice for large project shipments; we quote both and let your timeline decide. More detail in our shipping guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are fan coil units affected by the EU F-Gas Regulation?
No. Fan coil units and air handling units contain no refrigerant of their own — they are water-side equipment — so the F-Gas placing-on-market bans do not apply to them. For refrigerant-bearing equipment such as chillers, VRF and splits, we confirm the compliance path for your specific model and market at quotation.
Can you deliver to Europe by rail?
Yes. Zhengzhou is a major China–Europe Railway Express hub, and rail freight typically reaches European terminals in 15–22 days, subject to schedules — meaningfully faster than the usual 4–6 weeks by sea. We quote rail and sea side by side so you can choose by deadline and budget.
How can I verify your EUROVENT certification?
We send certificate copies with every quotation so your team can verify them directly with the certification body before ordering. Our full certification list — EUROVENT, CE, ISO9001 and Middle East approvals — is on our certificates page.
What is your minimum order? Can we start with a trial order?
trial orders are typically welcome on standard light-commercial models, so trial orders are welcome. We accept T/T and L/C, production is typically 15–30 days, and every shipment includes English manuals and wiring diagrams. Many European customers start with a small fan coil order before scaling up.

R290 & Portable Cooling Program for the 2027 F-Gas Transition
Alongside our own hydronic production, we source and OEM-manage EU-compliant R290 portable and monobloc air conditioners from audited partner factories. From 1 January 2027, new self-contained air conditioners up to 12 kW placed on the EU market must use refrigerants with a GWP below 150 under Regulation (EU) 2024/573 — R290 (propane, GWP <1) is not an F-gas at all, so it faces no ban and no quota, and already meets the regulation’s 2032 end-state.
We handle factory selection, compliance documentation and pre-shipment QC, so importers get 2027-ready stock under their own brand:
- R290 portable air conditioners — single and double duct, cooling or heat/cool, private label available
- R290 monobloc units — cooling without an outdoor unit, the category the 2027 rules favour
- Quick-connect concepts — the fastest-growing installation-free format; availability confirmed per market at quotation
Full compliance dossier with every program: CE documentation (LVD/EMC), Declaration of Conformity, energy-label data, WEEE guidance and A3-refrigerant shipping arrangements (UN 3358, IMDG SP291). Read the full guide: R290 Portable & Monobloc AC — the European Importer’s Sourcing Guide.
EU Refrigerant Timeline at a Glance
| Date | What changes (Regulation (EU) 2024/573) | Compliant path |
|---|---|---|
| Since 2025 | Single splits under 3 kg with GWP ≥ 750 (e.g. R410A) no longer placed on the EU market | R32 splits |
| 1 Jan 2027 | Self-contained AC ≤ 12 kW needs GWP < 150; chillers > 12 kW lose R134a/R410A; EU HFC quota roughly halves | R290 portables & monoblocs; low-GWP chillers; hydronic FCU/AHU |
| 1 Jan 2029 | Split air-to-air ≤ 12 kW needs GWP < 150; splits > 12 kW lose R410A | R290 self-contained; R32 for > 12 kW systems |
| 2032–2035 | Self-contained units lose all F-gases (2032); small splits follow (2035) | R290 and other natural refrigerants |

Central & Eastern Europe: The Rail Corridor Extension
The same China–Europe Railway Express services that serve the Balkans reach Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian terminals in typically 15–22 days, subject to schedules — one customs clearance into the EU, then free circulation across all member states. With Czechia recording an all-time national high of 40.6 °C in June 2026 and portables selling out in neighbouring Germany and Austria, CEE distributors are building air-conditioning ranges for the first time. Guide: Sourcing HVAC from China to the Czech Republic & Central Europe.
When to Order
European summer stock is produced and shipped between roughly September and April — importers who negotiate in autumn land spring inventory at normal freight rates, while mid-season replenishment relies on the rail corridor. See the AC importer’s buying calendar.
Do you manufacture R290 portable ACs yourselves?
No — and we say so plainly. Our own factory builds the hydronic range (fan coil units, AHUs, chillers). R290 portables and monoblocs come from audited partner factories under our OEM management: we select the factory, verify the compliance file and inspect before shipment.
What changes under the 2027 F-Gas rules?
From 1 January 2027, new self-contained AC units up to 12 kW placed on the EU market must use refrigerants below GWP 150 — in practice R290 — and chillers above 12 kW lose R134a/R410A. The EU’s HFC quota also roughly halves in 2027, tightening supply of pre-charged HFC equipment.
Can you deliver to the Czech Republic and Central Europe?
Yes. Rail freight from Zhengzhou typically reaches Czech, Slovak, Polish and Hungarian terminals in 15–22 days, and sea freight to North European ports takes typically 4–6 weeks. One EU customs clearance covers onward distribution across member states.
What is the lead time for a container of portable ACs?
First OEM orders carry setup time (artwork, labelling, compliance file) on top of production, so plan them in the autumn buying window; repeat orders run close to standard production schedules. Exact lead times are stated on every quotation.
